Greater Things Ahead

18Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV).

Just before this text, the Lord makes great boast about the mighty works and miracles he had performed in the lives of the Israelites and then rather strangely instructs that they forget these things and not to live in the past. He was going to do bigger and better things in the their lives and he wanted all their attention for the now and the future.

Was 2011 wonderful and exciting? Forget it! You’ve not seen anything yet! Was 2011 full of pain, disappointments and struggles? Forget it also. The Lord has promised streams in the desert and ways in the wilderness for 2012 and beyond. Wait on the Lord, work with the Lord, to see them come to pass.

Wishing you all the best for 2012, and beyond.

Blessings…with prayers
