God Sees The Best In You

Do you know people who only see the cup as half full? That’s not your God.

God always wants the best for you and sees the best in you. Sure, He wants you to “fix up” in those challenging areas of your life, but through it all, He’s rooting for you to get it right.

Imagine running in a stadium and you’re about to beat Usain Bolt in the 100metres; there’s someone cheering wildly in the crowds and shouting at the top of their lungs. That’s God cheering you on and waving a banner saying “You can do it!”. Just imagine that.

God sees the best in you, but how you see yourself matters. So today, look in the mirror, what do you see? I see greatness.

On Thin Ice

Hard pressed, pushed to the wall
Till it feels like walking on thin ice;
When reason and logic seems more appealing
Than trust in a promise of providence;
When sight and the now more desirable than
Faith and hope in a better future.

But, we refuse to give in to the lure of the temporary
And yield only to the leading of the Dependable Hand.
In a world that constantly seeks to claw us in,
We pray that You would preserve our faith, Lord,
Till thin ice becomes a sure, immovable Rock of safety.
Help us look to You alone, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

Public vs. Private

“We call things ‘secular’ because we have neatly detached God from most spheres of life and confined Him to spiritual game-reserves called ‘sacred areas’ where we visit Him from time to time.”

Disturbingly true, isn’t it?

Just A Thought

Excerpt From: Greenslade, Philip. “Every Day with Jesus Jul/Aug 2013: The Great I Am.”

Palace or Desert

“God raised Moses in a palace in order to use him in a desert. He raised Joseph in a desert in order to use him in a palace.” – Ravi Zacharias

Whether you are currently in a palace or in a desert, never lose sight of the fact that God’s plans for you are good and would bring you to an expected end.

Rather than being unhappy or even fearful about where we are, and looking around for other options, perhaps we should be praying: “Father, You have placed me here at this time. How do You want to use me? How can I be available to You so that You can work out Your purposes in my life in this place?”

Every blessing, with prayers

“Here I am, Lord”

Think about this for a moment please- God is not interested in your abilities, so much as does your availability. We will literally astound ourselves, and others, if we really made ourselves available to be used by God.

“Here I am Lord, send me!” Isaiah 6:8

Give it a go…
Every blessing, in Christ Jesus

Hope Springs Eternal

We have a hope that never dies;
One that never fails.
Be You Lord, beneath us to sustain;
Within us to purify;
Before us to lead;
Around us to protect;
Behind us to restrain us; and
Above us to draw us towards You in word and deed.*

Every blessing, with prayers

Every Promise

When I’m faced with anguished choice,
I will listen for Your voice,
And I’ll stand on every promise of Your word.

Through this dark and troubled land
You will guide me with your hand
As I stand on every promise of Your word.

You have promised to complete
Every work begun in me,
So I’ll stand on every promise of Your word.

Hope that lifts me from despair,
Love that casts out every fear,
As I stand on every promise of Your word.

Not forsaken, not alone,
For the Comforter has come,
And I stand on every promise of Your word.

Grace sufficient, grace for me,
Grace for all who will believe,
We will stand on every promise of Your word.
