He Knows My Name

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12.9

Words from the song “Fly”, on the album “He Knows My Name” by Thomas Dean, Worship Pastor at Central, Edinburgh, Scotland

Verse 1:
My God lives, breathing life into the weary
My God heals, and he wants to make me whole
We were made to reflect You in your beauty
Oh Lord

Would I fly, as your spirit makes me new
My life will point to You
Renewed, Refined, Restored
Would I soar, in my weakness You’ll be strong
An adopted child of God
I am Yours

Verse 2:
Our God speaks, building faith into his children
Words of truth, bringing freedom from our shame
We’ve been saved, to reflect You in Your beauty

Because He Lives…

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

There is no need to fear for your future because your Saviour, who cared enough to die for you, holds the future in His hands.

Still, My Soul Be Still

A song for the heart’s quiet reflection….

Still my soul be still, and do not fear though winds of change may rage tomorrow.
God is at your side, no longer dread the fires of unexpected sorrow.

God You are my God, and I will trust in You and not be shaken.
Lord of peace renew a steadfast spirit within me to rest in You alone.

Still my soul be still, do not be moved by lesser lights and fleeting shadows.
Hold onto His ways with shield of faith against temptations flaming arrows.

Still my soul be still, do not forsake the Truth you learned in the beginning.
Wait upon the Lord and hope will rise as stars appear when day is dimming.

Humpty Dumpty

Recall the popular childhood rhyme

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.’

It wasn’t that Humpty fell so hard and shattered that he couldn’t be put back together, but it was because he was sent to the wrong king- he was seeking help in the wrong place. There is a King who is able to put back all the broken pieces, wipe away the past and offer new beginnings- He is Jesus, the Lord.

So, if ever you feel like Humpty Dumpty, or if you know anybody who’s had a fall, tell them that there’s a KING who mends broken pots, who puts the pieces of our lives in the right places, and who never gets tired of us coming to HIM over and over again. No fall surprises this KING, so instead of hiding our flaws and weaknesses, “Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 [inspired by Bebe Winan’s song, Humpty Dumpty]

Every blessing, with prayers…

All Must Be Well

Through the love of God our Savior,
All will be well;
Free and changeless is His favor;
All, all is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us;
Perfect is the grace that sealed us;
Strong the hand stretched out to shield us;
All must be well.

Though we pass through tribulation,
All will be well;
Christ hath purchased full salvation;
All, all is well.
Happy still in God confiding,
Fruitful, if in Christ abiding,
Holy through the Spirit’s guiding,
All must be well.

We expect a bright tomorrow;
All will be well;
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
All, all is well.
On our Father’s love relying,
Jesus every need supplying,
Then in living, or in dying,
All must be well.

Made Me Glad

‘Made Me Glad’ by Hillsongs

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
I will not be moved
And I’ll say of the Lord

You are my Shield, my Strength
My Portion Deliverer
My Shelter, Strong tower
My very present help in time of need

Whom have I in heaven but You
There’s none I desire beside You
You have made me glad
And I’ll say of the Lord

You are my Shield, my Strength
My Portion Deliverer
My Shelter, Strong tower
My very present help in time of need
