Prayer For The New Year

“O God our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come…”¹

“My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who walks beside
Who floods my weaknesses with strength
And causes fears to fly
Whose every promise is enough
For every step I take
Sustaining me with arms of love
And crowning me with grace”²

Your love in the past years assures me that you will never leave me in the new. No matter what the unknown morrow brings, I know You will bear me through. Sustain me, Oh Lord, with your grace and hold me in the hollow of your hands. Help me to walk more closely with you and to know your presence, peace and enabling every day in 2013.
