Prayer for Holiness
“Am I in danger of being brainwashed by a world that has made tolerance a fine art? Am I tolerating sin in my life rather than seeking by Your grace to be rid of it?”
These are searching questions that the Christian writer and Minister, Selwyn Hughes, once asked himself. We might all need to ask ourselves the same from time to time. Perhaps, even this very minute…(Selah)
Let us Pray:
Lord,
Renew our vision of Your holiness;
Lest we make light what you call sin
And take grace for granted.
Keep our hearts alive to your Spirit
And tender to the Potter’s hand,
Sustain us with your grace and everlasting arms,
Help us fan into flames the fire of your love in us.
May we find our highest joy and pleasure only in You,
In so doing, become truly set apart for you.
Amen

You are important to God and you should live as such.
God loves you so much He sent his only Son to lay down his life for you. You may not be where you want to be today, but you are certainly not where you used to be. Discover your purpose in Christ, pursue it with all diligence, even in the most mundane task. You will never miss your ‘well done’- both here on earth or on Christ’s return.

Give It Up & Gain it back
Would you be prepared to give up, just so you might gain? Sounds counter-cultural, isn’t it? Jesus said,
“And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life” Matthew 19:29.
It is so easy to become very attached to these, and more, that they actually rob us of the freedom to live freely and enjoy life abundantly as promised by Christ. Placed in the right priority or perspective, that is Christ above all, they can rather help us to achieve our purpose in life more effectively.
Give it up to gain it back.

God Answers Prayers
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it…Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:13-14
Did Jesus say ‘anything’? Yes He did! He withholds‘no good thing from those who do what is right” Psalm 84:11
He is ever-loving and will answer any prayer that ultimately seeks to bring him glory rather than a ‘self-centred’ request. Even when the answer seems delayed, don’t think it for a denial. He will answer when the time is right. Hold on to this promise- ’He makes all things beautiful in His time’

Access To God
For all [saved Christians] who live in fear of the judgment and the burden of performance to meet the standards of a holy and perfect God –
Remember that our access to God does not depend on yesterday’s performance, today’s practice or tomorrow’s potential (Bob Kauflin). Instead, we’re dearly loved and accepted by a Father of grace and mercy, through Jesus Christ.
May this set you free to live for Jesus, without guilt or fear, through the grace offered by God the Father.

A New Leaf
For anyone that might be struggling with mistakes of the past….May you know the grace and mercy of God through this poem.
He came to my desk with quivering lip–
The lesson was done.
“Dear Teacher I want a new leaf,” he said,
“I have spoiled this one.”
I took the old leaf, stained and blotted,
And gave him a new one all unspotted,
And into his sad eyes smiled,
“Do better now, my child.”
